While it took 10 fire tenders, according to the paper's website, to douse a fire at the TOI building on Sunday Feb 26, because the blaze was a big one, it makes one wonder why the newspaper did not beef up its fire alarm and safety systems sufficiently after a similar fire occured there in May last year. On that ocasion the paper ran a story the next day describing how the edition came out despite the fire. Today'story said the fire was in a server room and no one was hurt.
The Jagran Group is going in for an IPO in early March to raise Rs 400 crore for its radio property Radio City. Music Broadcast Ltd, the Jagran subsidiary which runs its radio business, now has 39 radio stations. This will be the first Media IPO of 2017, reports Daily Post.
