Germany fellowships for Indian journalists

Indian journalists can now apply for the Media Ambassadors India-Germany fellowship program by the Robert Bosch Stiftung in cooperation with the Center for Media Competence at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen.
 
Excellent Indian journalists can now apply for a fellowship as a part of the ‘Medienbotschafter India – Germany’ program.Medienbotschafter means media ambassadors and expresses the program partners’ aim to strengthen international understanding between India and Germany through journalism exchange.
 
Successful program applicants will travel from May to July 2017 to Germany. The fellowship covers an allowance of 1,350 Euros per month, and all travel expenses associated with the program. The program in a nutshell: Eight Indian fellows com- plete a twelve-week stay in Germany. The stay includes a customised academic media and area studies course at the Center for Media Competence at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, an extensive cultural program, a field trip in Germany and a job-shadowing in a German newsroom.
 
The fellowship is open to journalists from the areas of print, online, radio, and tele- vision media who have proof of professional excellence and of interest in Indo- German relations. German language skills are not necessary, but of advantage. There is no age limit.
 
After completion of the program, fellows have a range of possibilities to further strengthen the relations between German and Indian journalists through an alumni network.
