Times Now sends legal notice to The Hoot
Times Global Broadcasting Company Limited, owner of the English news and current affairs channel 'Times Now' has asked thehoot.org to pay damages amounting to Rs 100 crore for for defamation, loss of reputation and goodwill. The notice says the article titled “Anger on the air waves, attacks on the ground” 'carried certain defamatory, offensive, malicious, misleading, factually and technically incorrect statements and inferences in relation to TIMES NOW’s coverage on the attack on eminent lawyer Mr. Prashant Bhushan, in his chambers at the Supreme Court of India on October 12, 2011'.
